We are on a mission to support your love of a beautiful, well-designed shoe. Fine European leathers in the latest styles from Brunate of Italy, Eric Michael made in Spain, and Coque Terra from Portugal are represented in the collection. These shoemakers have preserved the traditions and methods from a century of experience. Technology is used to enhance the quality and comfort of the shoe, never to mass-produce or shortcut quality. This is the footwear you’ll reach for first, the favorite five of the average 20 pairs in a woman’s closet.

Ten years ago, Karen left her native Boston, Massachusetts home and moved to Marin County. In 2012, when she was looking for a location for her store, she chose San Anselmo for its charming, village vibe. She wanted to be part of a community where independently-owned, brick-and-mortar businesses thrive because they are valued and preferred over department stores and point-and-click shopping; where people seek out the relaxed, café culture to shop, stroll, and dine.

Karen’s background is in textile design. Earlier in her career, she designed and manufactured sweaters out of one of those old granite mills in New England. In fact, her sweaters were sold in San Anselmo!
